This might sound like a stupid question, but if I weigh a pack of frozen chicken breasts, would it weigh the same as when it's defrosted? So if I want say 2kg chicken breasts, if when I weigh the frozen breasts and they weigh 2kg, would they weigh this amount when defrosted?

If you haven't poured the water off... If you defrost them and pour off the excess water they will weigh less (because now you are weighing chicken + ice).

There really shouldn't water when defrosted, just some moisture. Weight would be very close.
