Hi.. anyone know of a reasonably priced, honest painter??.. our apt is in major need of scraping and painting and there is alot of furniture and bookshelves that would need to be moved/covered.
Please let me know.. my son tested a teeny bit high on lead level and the doctor says it's probably due to some peeling paint.. Thanks ahead for any suggestions.

dealing with lead and moving furniture is not a simple task ... those things cost extra - and finding a reasonably priced person who also cleans up after will be difficult ...

what kind of peeling paint ... do you actually see paint chips coming off the walls or cracks in the windowsills and woodwork ...

lead can also come from consumer exposure to lead in food from ceramic dishes that may have lead glazes

how many rooms are in need of painting ...

is the landlord aware of the lead - they might be responsible for getting rid of it ...

thank you .. I just called him. sounded very nice and will get more info tomorrow

Greenfire: I' m not interested in the lead at this point as I hope to move out soon but just want a good painting over it all .. my doctor said that will do the trick. I really can't prove that's the problem and dont' want to get the landlady into anything with the city.. (they contact you if your baby's lead level is over 10.. his was 10.1 !! nothing medically concerning but I want to cover my basis..
