I wanted to check what others think or KNOW..these Geffen already ground walnuts are Pesach dik, however could the already ground nature pose a problem. It says in small print that the facility which produces these also makes peanuts. This worries me. I tend to buy unprocessed things for Pesach, but was looking for shortcuts when I found these. Should I return them, All opinoins are appreciated please?

It says that because even the smallest molecule can cause an allergic reaction in a peanut allergic person. There are no peanuts in the product but it is not that hard to get one of the kids to open walnuts and you can grind them. Keep it on hand in case you don't get a chance to open walnuts.

Thanks for your reply Southerbubby. I was concerned more about the machinery/equipement at the plant/facility being Kitiyos because of that peanut posting on the label? You dont believe this is an issue?

if you can't get an answer from the company, I'd get something else.

These warning lables are posted on all foods to prevent lawsuits. Gefen is a well respected company. You can call the vaad ha'kashrus in your community or email Rabbi Blumenkrantz (sp?) to get further clarification but I will probably buy the product if I cannot find any whole nuts in the shell.
