moving... help!!!!

I am moving for the first time ever in a little over 5 weeks from a cramped and stuffy apartment into a house but I dont know where to start Crying

Anyone have any tips, ideas... anything to help me??
When should I start and what do I start with ? Your experience or moving tips would be great.

Firstly, did you find a moving company?
- Plan the layout in the new house. List items needed for each rooms. take measurement so that you know which furniture goes where without blocking the doors etc. Check where the cable/phone/power outlets are.
- If not provided by movers, start collecting cardboard boxes, newspapers. (Try to avoid boxes with
fresh produces. They could be infested with bugs/roaches.)
- Start packing things you won't need immediately, like pesach things, out of season clothes.
Make a master list with contents of each boxes. Number each boxes (on sides, not just on the top).
- Get rid of things you're not taking with, either donate or garage sale.
- Contact utility companies, phone companies, mobile phone/internet providers for both current and
the new addresses. Notify last/first day of service and get the final bill.
- Contact banks, credit card companies, insurance companies, pension managers, magazine subscription, store cards etc. and give new addresses. (Just keep track of what comes in the mail.)
- Arrange forwarding service with the post office.
- Send/email Change of Address notes to friends and families.
- Don't pack things you'll need a day or two before/after the move, eg clothes. Also keep important documents and valuables separately.
- If changing states, find about drivers license, car registration etc.
