As for the first idea I'm not sure many like that would look good.
As per the second one I understand better.

I found this as a before and after picture.
What do you think of the colors?
Would it be good for the basement and for the furniture that I have.

the color is ok, but I think it needs to be a bit more yellow. note the area near the light. the wall looks white. you'll have scattered lighting, so it'll probably look mostly white if you use that shade. and I don't like the white accent they did.

actually, I'd recommend more of a peach to go with your furniture if you don't like tan. the lighting should bring out a soft yellow. very pretty. I don't know how well yellow would go with dark wood.

you can continue that color. I like a little more color in general, but that color's better than white Smile

truth be told, colors don't show up so accurately on my monitor, so I can't be sure what I'm seeing. if you would like to see your whole basement that color, go for it.

you can also go to benjaminmoore.com for ideas. they have interactive color things to help you decide on color combinations.
