I clean my closets every month or 2 anyways. The big stress for Pesach is the toys. And that has to be done right before Pesach anyway.
No point in stressing now.

wow, we have not even gone through chanukah yet, let alone purim, but either way, I do not think about pesach at all untill a month before, nothing, not cleaning, not cooking, nothing.

and as for our car? BH we have kids on our yishuv who come around a day or so before pesach that we pay them about 25 shekels and they clean not only the inside 9and a fine job they do :>) but also the outside, so it sparkles just for pesach.

PESACH?!?!!? I really feel bad for you! Enjoy each month, each holiday without constantly worrying about what will be, what you are gonna do...Live for the moment!! How on earth will someone enjoy chanuka, will all the parties, donuts and menoras, if pesach is on their mind? Then there is a long winter to worry about, and to enjoy. Even though with Purim, comes Pesach (at least many houses think everything has to be done by then) one must make a party, give out chometz food, and enjoy the fun day! Once chanuka, winter and purim is over then, and only then should you worry about pesach. (cleaning can be done before then , but no need to be completed)

I have no clue what to do for Pesach, stay home or hightail it out of here. I wonder what we'll end up doing. It doesn't help any that people are actually asking us, expecting me to have any idea.

I'm trying to figure out how much its going to cost and what clothing do I need to buy. I want to start saving now. there are good sales around then. I'm not thinking about cleaning though. maybe trying to get rid of all the papers that I keep on getting and I don't know what to do with.

Oh, OK, I do think along the lines of "pasta and oatmeal on sale, should I stock up or will I end up having to get rid of it before Pesach?" But then I tell myself not to be ridiculous, winter hasn't even started yet and we have--what? 22 Shabbosim till Pesach? I can and should stock my pantry now.
I have it harder -- I stock up in the SUMMER trying to debate how much my family will eat, what they'll get sick of or start liking more. (We keep yoshon and don't sell chometz gamur, so it's a very hard balance.)
