space heaters are expensive and can be unhealthy and even dangerous.
what about a mattress pad? you can heat up the bed enough to go to sleep, but turn if off before hand.

didn't read all the replies but just wanted to tell u that we have the same problem in our bedroom, it's 3 windows next to each other so it leaks lots of air, we used the plastic all around it it made a tremendous difference- to the extent that at times we would turn off the heat in our room.( btw we live in ny so real winter)
