I make potato knish all the time by just putting mashed potatoes (with sauteed onions, little margaring, salt, and pepper) onto a large rectangle of pastry dought and folding closed. I then slice it once its baked and its delicious. And so much easier than making them individually.

Deli Roll - Really quick prep - Under five minutes, literally.....
I have a really good recipe!
Roll out dough.
Mix together Duck Sauce and Honey Dijon Mustard and spread most of it on dough.
Lay the meat on top of it....I only use Pastrami.
Roll it up.
Spread remaining mixture on top, as a glaze.
Sprinkle with Sesame Seeds.
Bake on 375 for about 25 min or until golden.

mmm, that sounds like somthing my dh might enjoy - can you give me a more precise recipe (after you spread cherry pie filling and shred the apple, do you roll it up and bake? at what temp and how long?) |
That's all there is to it. Fill, roll and bake. You can make a few slits on the top so it doesn't burst. That also makes it easier to slice later. I don't remember exactly how long to bake. I'd probably put it at 350 for about 30 minutes, but keep watching that it browns a little without burning.
