With the summer looming ahead, a lot of stores will be closed on Sundays. Others close up shop at 4 or 5 or 6 every evening.

For a working mom, that makes life hard!

How do you all deal with this?

This is a huuuuge problem. So many shops close on sunday. If you don't have Jewish shops around, you often have to shop during the week, like taking time from your work to do it.

I think that SaraG is specifically referring to the Jewish stores. Many of them close on Sundays during the summer b/c pple go to bungalow colonies.

Wow, then it's quite difficult if you buy everything in Jewish stores! Personally we buy meat at the kosher butcher but the rest... really we don't drive 50 kms and we buy in our town's shops. If you don't do that, it must be quite hard!
