Don't know if you have access to over-the-counter antihistamines but they are a good idea in this situation. DS got stung by a wasp on his finger last year and was fine shortly after a dose. Bee stings are a bit different but I would think antihistamines are still worth a try.

(bees don't bite, they actually sting with a little stinger that's located at the end of their tushy)

Yes, please get your child to a Dr. If your child is allergic to bees and they had a bad response this time, the response will only get worse next time and your child may have to carry around an epi pen. Definitely take your child to the Dr. with this one and find out if there is an allergy.

make a paste of baking soda and water, put it on, it will draw out the poison.
or cut an onion in half and hold it on the sting.
this also draws out the poison.

Toothpaste can also do the trick and will help releive the pain.
