I think working from home must be worse. you have to work and take care of kids. At least I don't have to deal with my baby for the 10 hrs I'm out of the house and during my sleeping time (if I can get a babysitter).

I thought we're not allowed to work on Tisha B'av - at least before chatzos?

Actually, working, and even fasting, on tisha b'av is a drabbanon. From what I understand, its worse to work on purim (which I do), then to work on tisha b'av. definitely you are allowed to if you must or if there is "chisaron kis", loss of $$.
and now I got my son into a babysitter for tisha b'av so it mite be better to stay home, if my work lets me switch nights with thurs, even though I think I rather work tisha b'av then thurs night.
