Oven insert or convection oven?

Until now I've used my self clean oven for Pesach. This year my husband said I have to use an oven insert or convection oven. I'm debating what to buy. I've heard that the inserts are terrible. Does anyone have an insert and can tell me how bad it is? Does the food take longer to bake? Can I leave my oven on on Yom Tov on a lower temperature with an insert? How many 9x13 pans can you fit in with an insert?

Any info would be greatly appreciate.

What if you self clean the oven twice? what if you only use the oven with your baking pans on a cookie sheet, or some such ?

Thanks for your suggestions but those wont work.

My mother-in-law uses an insert and a convection oven.
They both cook unevely, and you have to get to "know" them. If it were me, I would use the insert, since they are both not my first choices, and neither of them is too much fun. I'd hate to have to store yet another full sized appliance.

I only ever heard of an oven insert a month ago.

can you tell me why you suddenly need one? there's no way around it? people used their ovens for pesach long before inserts were invented, I'm sure. I'm curious as this is a totally new concept for me.
