I am looking to make cheese snack like the store bought one. It doesn't have to be low fat or low sugar (I want to make it for my child who needs to gain weight but I don't want to spend $2 for every cheese snack I buy)
Anyone have a recipe? No sugar substitutes please
thanks

I make one from the pupa cookbook.
3 containers creamcheese
5 eggs
3/4 cup of sugar
1 vanilla sugar
Fill cupcake holders 3/4's full (I use the reynolds aluminum foil holders)
Bake at 350 for 25 min.
There is also a sour cream topping.
My kids love these.

8 oz cream cheese (J&J unwhipped works best. But whipped is good too)
1 egg
.5 C Sugar (a little less works very well)
.5 Vanilla
Mix it well with a hand blender. Bake on 350 until the top is golden brown (if you stick in a knife, it comes out almost clean)
Make more than 1 recipe, it's delicious and you'll never have enough with 1.

I mentioned that I was looking for something similar to the store bought kind, I meant this
Do any of you who posted recipes know if it is similar to this? I think the ingredients list sour cream too (not as a topping because there is no topping here)

For the recipe I wrote the correct sugar amount is a 1/2 cup.
Can't edit from my phone.

My cheese cake recepie has the same ingredients as the cheese snack, My kids also like the chees snack and I just couldn't buy it for the $. So here goes:
5 eggs
1 cup sugar
16 oz sour cream
16 oz cream chesse
mix all, bake 350 1 hour, shut oven, leave in oven another hour.
(Ithink this was for pilot ovens, but I do it anyhow).
Better if left in frige overnight.
(it is also calls for a graham cracker crust but you can leave it out)
What else does your child like, maybe we can help with more recepies?
Good luck!

I don't know if this is what you are looking for, but these are really delicious
24 ounce/s Cream Cheese
1 cup/s Sugar
3 Eggs
2 tablespoon/s Vanilla Sugar
Topping
6 ounce/s Milk Chocolate Melted
1/2 cup/s Sour Cream
1 cup/s Dulce De Luce
1/2 cup/s Chopped Nuts
Preparation
Blend cream cheese with sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla sugar. Mix well. Fill foil cup cake holders. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Will settle when comes out of oven (dont get nervous). Garnish with topping. mix the chocolate with sour cream and put on top, or put on dulce de luce with ground nuts. You can also put on whip cream or cherry pie filling.
