I passed by a Judaica shop and saw the sign Thora puzzle or some such...
Now, who uses that pronunciation?

Temonim pronounce a Sof somewhere between a T and a Th--something we Ashkenazis usually cannot do. That's where all the final th-es come in like Beth Shalom or Agudath Israel. I am not so sure that's how they pronounce a Tof with a dogesh, although they do pronounce it differently from the way we do. They have a lot of very fine distinctions that we lack--many of us can't even hear the differences!

Ditto, in French you can see Thora, Torah, more rarely Tora... All are prononced the same, like with a regular "t".

Honestly in the beginning I didn't understand either, since I'm so used to the Thora spelling...
