two layer kishka and zucchini kugel
$$tender cooked meat with lots of onions
honey-mustard roasted potatoes
yapshik in the crockpot

Can I bother you for these recipes please

YAPSHIK:

I use my regular potato kugel recipe and layer it kugel, meat, kugel in a crockpot liner and set on low.

Can I ask you how what time on Friday you put up the Yapshik? And what the consistancy is like when you serve it? Thanks! Smile

How do you make your onion baked gefilte fish pobody's nerfect?

It's my father's recipe and super simple. You partially defrost a roll of fish, so that it isn't mushy but can easily be sliced. Unwrap it and slice on an angle- I like thickish slices, my father's are thinner. Spray a pan well and lay out fish slices. Slice an onion very thinly, and place one or two rings (not a whole slice, just a few rings) on each slice of fish. Spray with more oil and bake at 350 for 50 minutes. We serve it cold but it think it's good hot, too.

(I never made this before so I don't know if it is good)
1 lb red potatoes , quarterd
2 T diced onions
2 T olive oil
1 T honey
1 tsp dry mustard
pinch salt
pinch pepper

preheat oven to 375.
Spray 11 x 16 pan with cooking spray. Place potatoes in a single layer. top with onions. Mix rest of ingredients. Drizzle over potatoes. Bake 20 minuts. Stir. Bake another 15 minutes or until potatoes are soft.

Sky, can I use regular mustard instead of dry in these potatoes? I don't have dry mustard...

Use 1 Tbsp prepared mustard instead of 1 tsp dry mustard.

Thanks ra_mom.

What's the best way to reheat these?

I made these last night. Roasted them for much longer than the recipe called for.
The dry mustard just gave it a drop of tang. Did not taste mustardy at all. So just use a drip of prepared mustard instead of the dry.
Best way to reheat them is probably in a double boiler over a blech or plata.

mine also roated a lot longer. The taste was not as strong as I expected I may add some more sauce before reheating
I plan on leaving my oven on at 200 so I'll just stick it in there 1/2 hour to heat.

I turned up the heat to much higher at one point (450) and left them until just a tinge brown (baked for about 1 hour and ten minutes total?) and they were quite good.

Sorry it's called klix brownies and here is the recipe

I think cookie lady posted it
1 21 oz pkg brownie mix (shhh, dont tell shoy18)
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup oil
1 egg
1/2 cups chopped klix malted balls

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease bottom of a 9x13" pan. In a large bowl, mix all brownie ingredients. Spread into pan. bake 33-35 miutes, dont overbake.

Cool completely

In a small saucepan, melt 1 cup chocolate chips and margarine. When smooth remove from heat and stir in 2 T marg., 2 T. milk, 1/4 tsp vanilla extract. Blend well. Spread over brownies and sprinkle top with 1/3 cup crushed klix malted balls. Refrige until set. cut into squares.
