How do you keep from hurting yourself when closing a form-fitting dress with the zipper on the side?

I do! It's not even very tight. The zipper doesn't work perfectly and as I'm tugging on it I always end up hurting myself.

Or get your husband to help! One of you pulls the dress away from your body, and the other tugs the zipper up.

Maybe if you can fix the zipper to slide better you won't have that trouble. To help it slide easier rub a candle up and down on both sides of the teeth of the zipper. Hopefully it should help it go smoother.
