Where you PP ? The same thing happened to me 3 days PP ! after having dd I was very happy my eternity band finally fitted again .

so I wore it all day and went to sleep with it and woke up at 3 am with a finger cramp and a purple finger....

Since I had a ring removed in HS and knew the doc would shave it off , and since this ring has HUGE sentimental value to me ,I was trying to avoid the doc destroying it at all costs Rolling Eyes

I tried oil,soap ,and in my desperation flour!!! even Tzedaka to the fund of Rebbi Meir Baal Ha Ness!!! ... It worked!!!

but my finger had a cut from the ring inbedding itself so tight ,I still have a dead skin scar . (DH wonders how that urgent prayer request sounded in shomayim "dear Hashem save my diamond eternity ring" LOL

DH was very mad I did not wake him during the "emergency" (I knew he would drive me to hospital in a nano second) ....he thought It was stupid and that could have lost my finger for fashion...I AGREE and wonder what the heck was I thinking! Crazy post partum hormones LOL
