Go ahead and throw rotten tomatoes at me.... but I'm just curious.
(having one or two small items which must be done last minute can still qualify you as being done)

I've been cooking massive amounts of stuff, and not only am I almost done for R'H, but I'm almost through with stuff for Sukkos as well (at least the things that will freeze well)! (Just as easy to make 4 or 5 pans of chicken as 1 pan...)

I'll cook tomorrow. I'm not making so much stuff, so it won't take so long.

I just received my brand spanking new mixer and so I baked my first cake, a honey cake, courtesy of Imamother
As far as cooking I'm planning to start tomorrow.

I am not a frozen food fan, so all I have made in advance is chicken soup (some, still have to make more) challa and honey cake.
I was shopping yesterday and met someone, and asked her how her rosh hashana preps were going. She had already set the table the night before!
Any nice really easy chicken recipes for rosh hashana? (sweet, apples, etc not pomegranates because they are horribly expensive and I am cooking for 75 the first night)

75? wooo!
I only made a honey cake and froze it.
when I told my husband I wanted to start cooking Thurs night, he's like - "you don't have work Friday..." He's right! I'm making basically a usual shabbos meal for Shabbos....I'm having only a couple of guests, so I don't have to slave in the kitchen (not that I ever do).

how about apricot chicken, Rivky? warm apricot jam, mix in onion soup mix and white wine, (some put in a tablespoon of ketchup also but I don't) pour over chicken bake covered for about half an hour and then uncovered until done.

The baby was sick last night at 3:40 and he got it all over his favourite blanket. So we had to wash and dry it, by the time that was finished the other kids were up. He has just gone back to bed. Anyway I thought I should make a start. I made two sweet potato pies, tri colour gefilta fish, prepared the dressing for the lamb, a cranberry apple tarte, glazed apricat carrot and pepper salad, prepared the beans for the salad. My dh made his mushroom salad. I'am very impressed with myself and the baby as he was helping me and it is only 8:45 in the morning!!!!! I think I'll go and have a sleep now I need it!!!

Yes, I can state unequivocally I have definitely finished cooking for Rosh Hashana. And if not...we muddled through somehow.
