I have a new recipe for potato kugel that calls for "5 lbs" of potatoes. How many medium sized potatoes is that? Also, how many potatoes should I use for a very high 9x13 kugel?

or use half of a 10lb bag.
My guess would be 16 smallish, 12 medium or 8 large potatoes.
