What should I do? This happens about five times a day. The phone rings, I answer it, and the "person" clicked off.
Usually there is a number on the caller ID. I tried googling the numbers, and it comes up as nothing. Probably a cell phone. So if we call it back right away, we get a busy signal. I tried calling one of the numbers later on, and it said, "the person declined to accept your call". What in the world could this mean? And more importantly - what could I do about it? This is really frustrating me!

Maybe ask your phone company. How long has this been happening for?

I used to have it a while ago, and it would say "unknown number" on the id ,it used to drive me insane since I would be bathing my kids or cooking and run to the phone for nobody !!
but it has stopped...I never did figure out what it was.

I agree with sarag, it could be a sales call a telemarketer, now days a lot of them use the computer system to call, if the computer does not pick up your voice it hangs up and by the time you answer the computer probably hung up. so they keep calling as they are usually annoying. also you for sure cant call them back their numbers are blocked thats why your call was rejected. if you see the same number again let the machine pick up and see if they leave a messege, if not call your phone company and see what they can do or just ignore it. I get the same thing, I just never pick up and they stopped calling.

I get the same thing only it is a 1 888 number. I will try and not pick up anymore. maybe that will help.it is driving me mad.
