Isn't pesto a sort of thick oily sauce with herbs?

I also make it with:
Olive oil
Lots of fresh garlic
A bag of Basil leaves
and, Pine nuts
Put all into the food-processor and blend until a thick paste. You can add salt and pepper while it mixing.
We love eating it with Challah on Shabbos. And as others have mentioned, it's yum on pasta.

by the way, classic pesto has some parmesan or other cheese added to it...
if you are having the pesto with a dairy meal, I highly recommend the dairy version...yum!
