I have seen transfat free margarine around lately. Is it any healthier than the regular or is it the same stuff just purporting to be healthier?

It's the same junk but without any Trans fat (a very unhealthy fat that your body has no use for).
I have been trying to substitute oil for margarine.
In certain cookie recipes it is not possible so I only use margarine if I can't make them dairy and use butter and I am really craving margarine cookies.

it is trans fat free. trans fat is very unhealthy. the trans fat free is healthier but it is still a fat and not healthy to use too often.

palm oil in it's natural state (room temperature) is solid- like margarine. Except it is a natural oil and it does not have trans-fat. It comes in tubs. I know that Goldbergs sells them.

compared to olive or canola oil I'd say it's garbage.
but compared to regular margarine I'd say it's much healthier.
