best recommendations for shopping in Manhattan...Nordstroms rack, Macys, anywhere else big and with selection? Wasn't sure if the ones in the city are better than my local department stores here or in jersey...any advice is welcome!

Nordstrom Rack in NYC is pretty small, and it's really hit-or-miss. Maybe Lord & Taylor? It's not as overwhelming as Macy's, but it is pricier.

Dress Barn has some really nice things for weddings. JC Penney, Daffy's and you can also try just walking up the avenues. Have fun.
