Seriously? What is this, Cyrano de Bergerac?

If you can't write your own heartfelt letter thanking your parents and in-laws, then don't write one at all.

I agree with Yesha.
Even if you aren't a great writer I'm sure you can think of something short and meaningful. Better a short note from the heart than a fancy poem/letter written by a stranger. They'll appreciate it even more.

Yup.
It's called devarim hayotzim min halev. Even if you were the poet-type, I think you might still want to aim for a letter.
If you need help organizing your thoughts, start with a list of all they do for you, the skills and warmth they gave you/raised DH with and the (moral) support and cheerleading they offer now. Don't worry if the two letters overlap; I doubt they'll be comparing notes.
Hatzlacha!

P.S. And if once the muse hits you're inspired to write a poem, then go for it!

Dear Abba and Imma to Mom and Dad
just a short note to express a feeling we had
a feeling of thanks, and a feeling of glee
that you are in our lives, and will continue to be
you brought up two great kids, to be husband and wife
and we will forever be grateful, for the rest of our life
it's because of you and you, that we are able to build
a bayit ne'eman b'yisrael, we learned from the skilled

we present to you this gift, we hope you'll enjoy
and hope it brings you some purim fun and purim joy

---b/c I did it once---

print, fold vertically, then fold top over bottom, and there's a card, with a whole blank side for your own words, to/from on the front, a poem, and my email on the back [my credit]
