I live in an apt building and there are 20+ cats daily. In fact, they sit half the night on my porch (which the window is to my master bedroom) and they cry all night. I'm being woken up. My son is traumatized! I called aspca, they can't help with anything! Would someone suggest HOW I could get rid of it? I'm on the verge of a breakdown! Its INSANE!!!!

Maybe a recording of a ferocious dog, play it really loud and it will scare them off? If you do it over and over again for one or two nights they will pick a different place to hang out. If they are crying all night, they are in heat, I think it will pass. Don't they sound like babies? I was traumatized too by that sound as a teen.

Cut up lemons in quarters and scatter them on the porch. This helped for me.

Teach them commands Worked with my cats. They know "go away!" "don't touch that!" and "come here!"

I have five cats in my backyard. Sometimes they cry, I think its one of my kids so I jump out of bed. Is someone feeding them? Anyway they use to attack our garbage and we were told to use black pepper, I think it worked.

when we moved here there was a smart stray cat that used to open our screen doors and windows. I'd come home and find here eating from the counter or sleeping in my bed.
after I started using a spray bottle on her every time I saw her, she stopped coming.
make sure there is no food / garbage out there that they are coming for

My dh bought Lion feces on line (no not joking) supposedly the cats are so fearful of the smell and stay away as they think a lion is in the vicinity.

I've had a situation like that and unfortunately I couldn't find any repellent for them and then heard the black pepper works.. I literally covered my entire backyard in black pepper and only some of them came back, I then tried cayenne pepper and worked wonders. I haven't seen them ever since.
