I'm new. Hi. Just read a thread about folding underwear! Does anyone iron bed linen? My mother in law thinks it's v important. I think bed linen is for sleeping in and will get crumpled anyway. Btw I'm not going to start doing it - I'm happy being busy with other things bH - just curious to find out what people think.

I don't iron my linens. I think it's a waste of my time. Usually the linens come out pretty much wrinkle-free from the dryer. Maybe it would look a little nicer/neater ironed, but I don't care so much. For me, I just don't see the point. I'm not a "neat-freak", I'm busy enough during the day, and no one sees my beds except for me, my husband, and kids. (And they couldn't care less whether the linens are ironed...)

Never did. Never will.
If perchance I do, please have me committed.

you can iron anything between underwear , clothes, coats, bedding, curtains, towels and mittens. even scarves if you wish.

but nothing is a must. you do what you want to, what works for you

The only person I knew who had her linen ironed had the cleaning lady do it.
If you don't leave linen in the dryer for long, it shouldn't look too bad.

....This far... I will not go!!
FTR, the only linen that needs to be ironed or looks much better ironed is 100% cottons. Any blends dont need it.

I like 100% cotton sheets and don't mind that they are a little wrinkled. Ironing them is not something I'm willing to do.

I read that people who use super-high-end bedlinens typically have them sent out to a laundry. I suppose they are ironed nicely.
