Names on tickets not same as passport, help!

By mistake I booked tickets for myself and my child in our commonly used nicknames instead of the names on our passports.
what should I do?
will the airline reject me from getting on the plane?
I feel so dumb.
im so scared, please help.

Call the airline, different airlines and countries have different rules, you should expect to pay a charge to change the name.

You will need too change the names on your tickets. Airlines take this very seriously.
