we will g-d willing be going to israel end of december with one 4 year old for 10 days and we need ideas of where to go and we will be staying in hotels the whole time depending on what we do .

Just got back. Took our 8 & 10 yr olds.These are the things they really liked that may be suited for a 4 yr old. You didn't say if it's boy or girl.
We told them basic history of each place we went.
Great book to get Take Me To The Holyland
- Ein gedi/ Yam Hamelach
- Eretz Breisheit
-Gan Garoo
-Mini Israel
-Givat Hatachmoshet
-Tzfat/ Teveriah
-Kever Rachel/ Marat Hamachpela
- Tunnel Tour
And of course the Kotel
We rented acar to go most places outside Yerushalyim.Tours can be long & boring for kids.Feel free to ask any questions.

At Mini Israel over Chanukah kids up to 8 get in free. Their hours are 10-7, and candlelighting is at 5. (I have a promotional poster on my desk.)

And for that age there is the Biblical zoo and the childrens' wing of teh ISrael museam
However your child will probably be just as happy with some of teh nicer parks, the bus rides, train rides, and the beach.

thank you to everybody for your wonderful ideas
its a 4 year old boy,
we are planning to be the first shabbos in yerushalaim and still didnt decide where to be for the second , but we have to keep in mind that our flight is on motzaai shabbos
and ideas for shabos
