before. doable but very messy after. you could just use your hands to tear it apart into shreds, esp. if you want to get a child in the act. (playing with food, what fun! and mommy lets!)

Spice & Spirit. I use the one with the raisins but don't always put them in. I also grind the Challah in the food processor. I don't like big chunks of bread.

Quick and delicious:
1 medium challah - slice and soak in water
squeeze out water and put in bowl
Add:
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/4 c. oil
1 c. sugar
cinammon
mix. bake in greased pan at 350 for 1 hour.

My friend made a delicious pineapple challah kugel recipe from The Kosher Pallette (or KBD entertains), it was sooo good.

Yep, I just started making that recipe recently. It is sooooo good with the pineapples, YUM. I also like the fact that you do not have to soak the challa before. I will try to post recipe tomorrow.
