Why don't you mix a rich whip with vanilla pudding mix. Tastes delicious and takes less than five minutes ( if the whip is defrosted)

ROFL - I know this is a very old post, but I want to make custard for rosh hashonah. How do you do it using whip and vanilla pudding? Do I just add the powder into whipped cream? I want it parev.

You beat it together with beaters from machine.
First whip up the topping then add in the pudding powder. Some put confectioners sugar too.
Wow! Your way ahead preparing for pesach already lol
