I was never allowed to wear temporary tatoos as a kid, or allowed to write on my skin. Stamps were frowned on, as well. We held that it's all under the same category of "lo tisgodedu."

Yes, temporary tattoos are certainly wrong. Just like carnival face painting for little kids and make up for adults is wrong. Yep. And when my two year old colors with purple marker on her hands, she too is an evil sinner.
Give me a break. OP- I would absolutely find out what went on in that class and why you were not called.
As for all you parents who think the school rules need to be followed regardless of how stupid they are, keep in mind that those rules are insitituted by other parents and your vote counts just as much as theirs does.
