When I was younger we were told we were "FRUM". We went to a chadish school where we were outsiders. My parents sibblings are modern orthodox/mizrachi. I went to a BY HS and became a BY girl.

I married a guy who was also raised frum. He went to a school that catered to chasidish and litvish with some american mixed. His family has rebbishe relatives, cousins X times removed. All of his sibblings became chasidish. My DH hates change and doesnt know how to blend into a community. This is a problem for him currently since my neighborhood became very yeshivish recently. He wants to move a couple of blocks.

We have nothing to do with any Rebbe or Rosh Yeshiva. We are frum parents trying to raise out kids to love yiddishkeit. My kids go to schools that have a mixed parent body, so they blend in perfectly.

Because it's very different than other kinds of chassidish.
