Yes, here is a recipe using oil.

Quote:
amts for apple crumble

Apple Crumble (The pleasures of your processor by Norene Gilletz)

6-8 apples (Cortlandt or McIntosh)

cranberries (optional)

cinnamon

1/2 cp butter or marg, (can use oil )

1 cp flour

3/4 cp brown sugar, packed

Dice apples and place in baking pan. Add cranberries and pat down to even top. Sprinkle cinnamon.

Mix oil, flour and br. sugar into crumbly dough and crumble on top of cinnamon.

Bake at 375 degrees for 35-45 minutes. (If using oil, usually need a little longer than 35 min to get the top crunchy)

8 servings - may be frozen - can prepare large batches of the crumb topping and freeze in bags and use as needed. I have even frozen the diced apples successfully.

Serve topped with scoop of vanilla ice cream . Serve immediately upon combining to maintain the extreme hot with the extreme cold. Enjoy!
