Is This Age Appropriate Behavior -4 Yr Old?

Taking Dina Friedmans Course & I'm thinking through 4 yr old DD behavior which is really very very challenging. Her tolerance level is dangerously low! She cries waaaay too much and when anything doesnt go her way she will burst into tears. I wouldnt call it tantruming cuz she isnt actually on the floor kicking and screaming. Also saying "use your words" is pointless cuz she's using words but not in the right way...

Is that age appropriate behavior?

Yes, crying a lot at home is age appropriate for a 4 year old.

Thanks! I'm actually quite relieved to hear that it isnt as abnormal as I think.

While I dont agree that it's totally normal for all 4 year olds to cry all day, She is probably just a very sensitive child and she will outgrow it. I wouldn't worry at all.

When you tell her to use her words, model what words she should use.
Many kids are clueless as to what they're supposed to be saying and need to be taught.
This is not a one shot deal. This will need to be repeated many times in order to extinguish the
current pattern and establish a new one.
