Can anyone think of a name that would go with Chava? We're naming after someone and neither me nor DH are mad about the name. Something pretty and not old-fashioned sounding. We thought of Chava Leah which goes well but to me sounds a shtickle nebby (no offence to anyone with that name! Sorry!).
If Chava could be the second name that would be even better!
We're yeshivish by the way, so know modern Israeli or English names.
Pref. a biblical name too!

I know a Chava Rivka. Personally I think Chava goes better as a first name.

Chava does NOT have to be the first name!
I know the following, real-life people who go by both names, and Chava is a great middle name:
Sarah Chava
Esther Chava
I also like:
Miriam Chava
Rivka Chava
Dina Chava
Chana Chava (but may be too cutesy)

Why is Chava Leah "a schtickle nebby"?
I think I'd use Chava as a middle name and go for something like:
Miriam Chava
Yocheved Chava
Esther Chava
Adina Chava
Can you get away with using a slightly different name? Like Chaya or Chaviva?

what names do you like, OP? any particular meanings you would like?
so many names go with chava (either before or after).
I think chava leah is nice (maybe you knew a chava leah that was nebby and thats why you think so?)
some common tnach names with chava (that seem to "go" to me):
chava sara or sara chava

chava dina or dina chava
chava miriam
chava shifra
tzippora chava
chava devorah
chana chava
chava esther or esther chava
chava yael
chava rus
maybe go thru the girls name list on aish.com (or other similar lists) and say them with chava and see if you like any?

Thanks for your ideas! They are all great. I don't know why, but even looking at lists of individual names just gets me confused. This is great.
I like Chava Miriam best I think. Is it weird to name a child Chava Miriam and then call her Miri for short?

My two year old's name is Chava Ayelet. My husband and I both love it and we've received lots of compliments on it too.
