When I was in high school there was a breakfast/learning program for teens where you would say a couple of brachos, Shema, and then have bagels (very Jewish) followed by learning.
The first time I went was the first time I said Shema. Being that it was my first time, I was told to put my hand over my eyes......but not when to take it OFF so when everyone was cutting into their bagels my friend was kind enough to tell me "um...we're done with that part"
Embarrassing then, funny now.

One of my first BT moments, was when my christian friend asked me to come speak to her study group about why Jews don't eat pork.
My response was, "Jews don't eat pork?"
