I personally thing that left over rice should not be reheated!
From my experience it is not the same anymore1
It tries out and does not taste good.
In my family no one eats rice unless it is fresh.

I don't usually save rice either. It's one of the few leftovers that I don't like. If it's not congealed, I would heat it in a microwave. If you don't have one, add a bit of water & heat it over the flame.

I always reheat rice with no consequences. When you store it, make it airtight, so it doesn't dry out. I cook it with some oil. Reheating with water (small amount). You can add oil and salt for flavor while cooking.

I always warm up rice too - just add a spoon or 2 of water on very low flame and cover to allow steam to heat up rice - stir a few time to get rice evenly warmed or top will be cold and bottom burnt.
If it is a sidedish to some meat with sauce you can warm them up together.

I also always heat up rice no problem. For those of you that are finicky about it, it's really easy if you have soup and can have a bowl of soup with the rice.
