My husband and I need to get away for a Shabbos. Can anyone suggest a hotel with a relaxing pleasant ambiance with a reasonable cost?

Kibbutz Chofetz Chaim rents out rooms/cottages. It's not a hotel but I think the rooms are nice and the area is gorgeous. Rav Rubin hechsher.

Anything 1100 nis per couple is considered reasonable. For a decent place.

It's now Eida (used to be Rav Rubin).
I know someone who was there with her seminary a few weeks ago and she said the food was delicious.

wow. I've never done this kind of thing before but 1100 seems a lot to me. That's what my husband has been hearing from his friends as well but I was hoping the indefatigable imamothers would come up with something else. Very Happy I guess we'll have to decide if we can spend that much.

If Nir Etzion is near Chaifa, it could be we heard about that one. It's supposed to be really nice.

Additionally, should you make reservations: check with the hotel which meals are provided. If you are going to want Friday night dinner, Shabbat lunch and Seuda Shlishit, get a clear answer what they provide and what your payment includes.

Nir Etzion IS near Chaifa and IS really really nice!
There's also Kibbutz Lavi which is a wonderful experience (I think you can request Rav Rubin)
But personally, I thought Nir Etzion was nicer and more generous

Kibbutz Lavi is nice, but I believe it is significantly more expensive than the other options you mentioned.

we just spent a Shabbos at Kinar Hotel near tiveria. (I posted two weeks ago with questions abt another place that wasn't worth going to)

it wasn't cheap - 1170, including all 3 meals. it's a pretty nice hotel, comfortable. the food was ok, and they were very generous with it. the hechsher is r' ezriel auerbach, and they use landau meats. for us, the main thing was that it's on the kinneret - water is very relaxing for us and we really needed to de-stress. the dining room overlooks the water, with floor to ceiling windows. we loved the view while we ate! (especially sunset at seudat shlishit)

the ron hotel in tzfat might be a cheaper option - I think it's around 890. afaik it's a good hechsher, and I heard it's nice, though never been there.
