Is there anything wrong with dressing up as raggedy ann and andy's ?
My DH thinks its not fitting for our kids to dress like it. (he's a sofer)
what do you think?

What is appropriate or not to a specific family is very individual. I think if your husband feels it isn't, you should respect his feelings.

Are Raggedly Ann and Andy related or friends? It's so much nicer to dress as tzaddikim or heroes from jewish history, of which there is no shortage, why would we need to use ideas from American or surrounding non jewish culture? (although raggedy Ann and Andy seem innocuous enough , but I don't know that much about them).
BTW, on chabad.org's women's section there is a beautiful article, Behind the Mask by Elana Mizrachi about this idea http://www.chabad.org/theJewis.....77051 . she dressed her baby as Krias yam Suf! so creative, and adorable. This year, she is planning to dress him as Avraham Avinu's tent! (His name is Avraham Nissim).
