I'm trying to figure out how to connect a second computer to my cable. I'm assuming I have to get a modem with a second connection port(?). Do I also have to download anything to my second computer, or all it takes is the right wiring??

You probably already have a wireless router in your house and you don’t know it. It looks like this http://catalog.belkin.com/IWCa.....36493 if you don’t see your cable modem plugged into one like this, then you should get one. Belkin is the best.
Once you have it, I’d advise you to get a computer guy to come down and make it work, should take them about 15 minutes. Once they’re done, all the computers in your house can share files through the ‘wireless home network’ and all computers will use the same internet connection through the modem, because the cable modem will connected to the router. How cool is that.
