Do you let your kids choose what they want to be for Purim?

Or do you dictate/ persaude/ encourage them into what you want them to dress up as?

For ideological reasons?

For themes/ keepupwiththeCohensreasons?

For practical reasons? (like you already have a 'wedding' dress in her size)

None of the above? I decide, but really that's because he's at the point where he doesn't actually know the difference yet.

For now I choose the costume. If it was up to dd, she'd just go around without clothing. LOL ( at 15mnths she just figured out how to take them off and can't stand wearing them ever since!)

we choose our theme as a family, and usually the kids choose what they want to be that fits into our theme. I've even done themes around the costume choice of the child.

since my kids are 2 and a half and 5 and a half they still have the freedom of picking.

My son picked Police Man and my daughter wants to be strawberry shortcake so I'm a happy mom.
