Torah on the telephone (412)521-JEWE(L)
(718)467-7800
and Jewish Audio on Chabad.org GREAT STUFF!!!!
I love R. Dubov's Halacha classes. He has great topics (Cloning, owning stocks, Wine and alchohol....) and he covers them in a very thorough, clear and entertaing way.
R. Kaplan from Ontorio has great Ask The Rabbi classes on real issues in Halacha (Kibud Av for an abusive father...looked at from all angles..Giving Tzedokah to relatives -how much are we obligated?)
OK you get the picture...
I have a speaker phone in my kitchen and now a computer.
Life is good!! Tongue Out Tongue Out

If I am not on the phone, not talking to DH or teaching the children, then I am either listening to Shmais Radio (esp if I am getting ready for Shabbos), news/talk radio or whatever CD the children have put in my computer.

I have noting that plays in te kitchen. rarely I'll put on a cd in the livingroom and listen through the doorways, but unless it's blasting, it's not even worth it.

I love listening to Dr. laura. She is on every weekday from 12-2. The only problem is, I can't listen if my three year old is not napping. She asks questions about the topic. Dr. Laura can get pretty racy and I don't want my kids listening to it.

I have been trying to get my self over to the Kollel tape library. I would love to listen to dvar torah. I tried that 521-jewel but the propmts didn't listen to me.

Miriam, I'm having the same problem with the two talk show hosts I listen to. I can't turn it on around my kids.

I have the same thing. My stereo and computer are in the living room and I have to blast it to hear anything. Maybe I should go back to listening to chassidus on the telephone via speakerphone but then nobody will be able to call in.

Hmm, maybe that's a good idea! Very Happy

No option to check for secular radio, but it's my favorite!!! It's always on when I'm in the kitchen....

I was thinking of listening with headphones but it would be hard to hear the kids.

BBC Radio 4. (except the Archers! hate them) Or local news radio station.

When I lived in NY I would listen to NPR.
