It's funny that this thread has been revived.
I am the OP and I can tell you that, after this whole threat, I ended up with a daughter named Noa. We are IN LOVE with her name....and her. She recently celebrated her third birthday. :-)

And to the nasty posters who think I'm trying "make up names" or who ask me why, if I don't allow my girls to wear pants (which, GASP, I do) why I'd give them a boy's name, I have only this to say to you....

I don't show up at your baby namings and roll my eyes when you introduce another Shayna Bracha or Rivka Ruchel into the community....

So, y'know, be nice.

Mazal tov! I love the name Noa. It is such a beautiful name, and I personally believe it is so feminine.
