I also never had "good reliable healthy friends" like you call it. I never had "close" friends, it was more like a circle of very friendly acquaintances.
But I can't regret that because I don't think I was in control of that. By nature, I don't readily trust people with my personal life, although I can see how sharing would make certain situations I've been in when I was younger easier. It wasn't my choice or decision, though.

I regret talking to my ex boyfriend for years after I got married. It almost caused me to get divorced. We have cut off all communication now, and I am so happy with my husband now.

I regret not talking to my husband about finances when we were engaged and first married. We would have been much better off had we made a financial plan and set goals when we first got married.

I wish that we had gone ahead and made aliyah when we were first married before we had children....instead now it's difficult trying to get ready - trying to save $$ while paying tuition, we've got all this stuff we'll need a lift for, worries about how our oldest son will do there...
