When we bought our home, we redid the kitchen. I insisted on granite, Pesach being one of the reasons.

we just got a roll of lenolium to cover the counters for pesach. its awesome, well cleanable and great for all needs during pesach. it was only 59 for a huge roll purchased at lowes, it was leftovers from someone who redid their kitchen.

Usually we use heavy-duty aluminum/tin...which I hate because I always cut myself on it. This year I'm hoping to try something new.

You need to add another option - for those who have a pesach kitchen!

Just wondering, for those that kasher granite, how you do that? Our Rav told us that unless it's raw granite, meaning non-polished and non sealed (which I’ve rarely seen in homes as granite is porous and impractical if not sealed) you cannot kasher granite. For those that do, are your granite countertops not sealed and polished?

Our rav said we can kosher our granite. We pour boiling water on it then iron it so it boils under the iron. We cover the cracks between the back and the back splash with foil.
