Yes, it is. Something has got to give; what are these parents going to do when they reach retirement age and they don't have a dime to their name?
I sometimes envy the Catholics: the vatican supports most private schools, so tuition is about $3,000 a year or less per kid. Most of the time less.

You dont have to be catholic to pay that amount for tuition. I pay less then $3000 for a child tuition and I send my child to a frum school (That is without any discounts)

That topic came up after the shiur yesterday. One woman said that her brother has a large family and a very low income and often taught his kids at home but when the time came to send them away to yeshiva, somehow Hashem provided the gelt. Another woman, who raised 3 kids as a single mom and paid tuition said that at least her children learned to live a moral life and that her financial struggles were worth the outcome.

yes, but the average cost of tuition around here is $15,000 per year. Then you add in shul dues, etc etc. Sometimes, the money is just not there.
