Trying to get a bargain laptop (online) for $400 or less.
I use my computer for work from home so has to be decent.
Was thinking of something like this: HP Pavilion 17.3-inch Laptop w/Intel Core i5 for $399.99 .
Anyone seen any other great ads?

It depends a lot on what kind of work you do. If you type stuff in Word and do spreadsheets in Excel the answer would be one thing but if you do graphic editing in Photoshop & Illustrator or video editing, etc., the answer would be something else.
In general, for work from home, you're always better off with a desktop and when purchasing one you'll always get more bang for you buck with more upgrade capacity.

I primarily work on the internet. Research, typing papers, making spreadsheetd into excel. Nothing majorly complicated but speed is important and the ability to have a few things running at same time.
Desktp not practical b/c a-we live in israel and much cheaper from the states and b- 2br apt and I frequently work in other rooms beside my office.
