How long did it take before you felt like your Hebrew handwriting was as good as (or bad as, depending ) your native language? How long before you felt you had your own style of writing?
I'm known for my nice writing in my native language, but in Hebrew I feel like I'm six and I'd be embarrassed. I'm a way off from aliyah so I have time to practice.
I will never have Israeli handwriting as I learned to form the letters 30 years ago and I wouldn't change now. On the other hand, my son has the nicest handwriting in the class (as a number of teachers have told us) and I am proud :-).
You could use the handwriting workbooks that the first/second graders use to practice writing. Kol hakavod for the forward thinking!
