Any drugstore or target, Walmart etc. Something like 5 or 6 dollar activation fee.

but at target, walmart etc to they sell just plain old "visa" gift cards (to be used anywhere) or are the cards there to be used only in walmart, target etc. thanks.

They should be accepted anywhere VISA is. Don't get the store gift card but the VISA gift card and you should be fine.

I've seen them at walgreens.
Another option would be do get a TD gift card. Go into any TD branch and ask them about it.
