HASIDIM PROTEST ISRAELI DESECRATION of BURIAL SITES

Over 25,000 Hasidic Jews are to demonstrate in front of the Israeli Consulate Thursday afternoon. Spokesman from protest organizer, the Central Rabbinical Cogress of the United States and Canada, expanded thet two ancient burial caves had been bruttaly exhumed by builders of the Chotzeh Israel road near Kibbutz Regavim, in Israel.

Blaming both, the Chotzeh Israel Company and the Israeli Transportation Ministry, for a "collosal disregard of the norm civilization," Rabbi Stern claimed that several alternatives has been prposed to make any digging unnecesary.

"These are the graves of our ancestors, and there was no need to descrate," he explained. "Our pleas and proposals were dismissed," he added.

Two graves filled caves have been emptied with tractors and bulldozers at the sites. Protesters fear that ten other such caves are to meet the same fate.

A series of stormy demonstrations in Israel, resulted in the arrest of promonent Rabbis and the stabbing by a security guard of a picketing student.
